Dr Megan Byrnes
Dr Megan Byrnes graduated from the University of Sydney after the successful completion of her Bachelor of Medical Science (2002) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (2006). Megan chose to work in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the clinical diversity and the combination of medicine and surgery. She enjoys a challenge and the excitement of the labour ward. Megan moved to Perth to begin her specialists training at King Edward Memorial Hospital and completed her senior training at Joondalup Health Campus. Megan has extended her discipline into the field of reproductive medicine and completed her Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
The majority of Megan's work has been in tertiary hospitals where she has subsequently gained significant experience in the management of complex obstetric cases including those complicated by medical disorders. Delivering this care correctly is crucial for the future being of these families and is something she prides herself on doing well.
