Our facilities:

Our brand new suite is situated in the newly established Joondalup Private Hospital which enables us to provide all the comforts and services our patients expect from a quality centre.

What we offer our patients:

We provide what we think is a warm and friendly environment as a single doctor practice, offering our patients a calm and tranquil setting.  Our aim is to provide a relaxed and caring service which will hopefully meet all of your individual needs and expectations.

On call arrangements:

Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a demanding specialty and it would be impossible to work efficiently and safely 24 hours a day for 7 days a week. As I work independently I am on call during the week for my patients, however on the weekend I share the weekend on-call demand with my colleagues at Joondalup Private Hospital.  This means there is an Obstetrician dedicated to be on call every day of the year so you can be assured that you will receive the highest quality of care.

Please check with your private health fund to ensure you are fully covered for obstetric care in a private hospital.

We have a “no gap” arrangement with most health funds to enable us to bill your health fund directly for your delivery and in hospital care, however, there are some health funds that may be excluded and you can confirm with our reception staff which funds this applies to. Any hospital visits that are required while you are pregnant will be billed directly to your health fund with no “out of pocket” expense incurred.

You should also check with your health fund whether your baby is covered if there was a need to admit to the special care nursery or neonatal intensive care nursery.

During your pregnancy there may be additional costs for other medical specialists involved in your care, such as
•    Anaesthetist – if an epidural or caesarean section is required
•    Paediatrician – to care for your baby
•    Assistant Surgeon at caesarean section

Sometimes we need to refer to other specialists such as an endocrinologist or surgeon for pregnancy related complications. An account may be sent from these specialists and an out of pocket expense may be occurred.

Our fees are structured so that your pregnancy care with us is both affordable and predictable.

We request that payment for your antenatal visits in our room is settled at the time of your consultation. Payments can be made by EFTPOS, credit card or cash. If pre-registered with Medicare, we can submit your claim directly to them using our on line claiming facility.

A schedule of fees and written financial information will be provided to you at your first antenatal visit. However, i
f you have any questions about our fees or billing structure, please contact our friendly reception team on 08 94009840 who will be only too happy to answer your questions.

Self-funded and overseas insured patients are welcome. Please contact us for further information.

The Pregnancy Management Fee or PMF is a fee charged for the management of a pregnancy which has progressed past 20 weeks.

This takes into account the whole of pregnancy care delivered by specialist obstetricians and the 24 hour availability of expert obstetric care and advice. This fee is payable after 20 weeks gestation and before 36 weeks gestation. There is a Medicare rebate available for the management fee.
